Activity

For December break, a main activity that will project physical exertion that somehow contributes to a healthy lifestyle is game night. Due to the fact that game night tends to be a popular event at the youth center, we’ve decided to host two game night events in order to gain a lot more recognition especially during high season. Game nights consist of ping pong tournaments, pool, play station/wii tournaments for specific games, as well as sometimes we organize a certain activity which is usually a tournament or a competition of some sort; due to the fact that competition is when terraza receives the most attention and is when we make the most amount of money. So because this is a popular event, we’ve decided to host these two game nights that will be christmas themed meaning christmas decorations will be added to the decor of the room to get everyone excited, as well as christmas music and christmas food. Tourists that will be present during this vacation will become aware of not only the game nights that will be hosted by the youth center but will allow the word to be spread around the communities and maybe other countries for future generations that will take on the youth center. To make sure that the community and tourists to be aware of these events to not solely make money but to be recognized as a youth center. Due to the fact that I will not be here during break, I have made sure to maintain an effective communication between my team and I. It is crucial to understand that it doesn’t mean that I am away from Costa Rica that I shouldn’t be available when it comes to helping my team organize events. Flyers, marketing on social media as well as contacting others that are needed for certain necessities that are needed at events. Furthermore, one thing I was in charge of this break was creating a flyer for the game night as well as help with creating a marketing plan for how we are going to promote our events during this december break. A plan that will conform to the public or our audience that will be present during this break.
