My family and I are going through a new phase in our lives. We are building our own home in Mar Vista. This is a new beginning for us, in a new place and a new home. I have always lived in the same place for almost all my life. It was a boring place, I had no neighbors my age, I had no friends close to hang out with and school was 15 minutes away.

In the new place I’m moving in is less than 5 minutes away from school, I have a classmate as a neighbor, I am closer to most of my friends and I have an ocean view. There are a lot of positive aspects about this place, which makes me very excited. The most excited part is that I was able to design the house with my dad. 

Since I am so passionate about being an architeque, my dad told me to make a design for the house. This is what I was the most excited about. I won’t say I designed the whole house, however, my dad did take into consideration and took some parts of my design to make the final one. An example is the left side of the house, where three rooms are located. I am happy to see the final results, today my dad took me to the construction site to see the advances, and the house is looking great. I am very excited.
