What are you excited about and why?
I’m excited because it’ll be a challenge and it’s always good to surpass your limits and exceed expectations which is what CAS is all about. Depending on what your project is you get to help the community in different ways which is the most special part.
What are you worried about and why?
I’m a little worried about the amount of work but it’ll only get us ready for the future, I just have to practice being balanced and that’ll be what gets me through the amount of work.
How can you teachers help you? Give 3 specific examples.
What strengths do you have that will help you with the program?
Communication, Critical thinker, Turn weakness into strengths, Risk taking.
Who do you look up to that went through the program and how do you create
relationships with them to support you through the program?
I look up to Rony and Keivan’s CAS project because I find it amazing how they brought those kids to Costa Rica and showed them the culture and everything about it. It’s really special too because I remember when those kids came to La Paz and they showed us some of the stuff they did. Contacting previous CAS kids is a good idea for getting help for your own CAS project since they’ve already gone through it and know what’s going to happen. Contacting them through Email or social media can be a great way to get a leap forward into what CAS really is.
What makes you prepared for CAS? What makes you excited about CAS? What makes you nervous about CAS?
I have a supportive family that will always have my back, which is what gets me prepared for CAS. I’m excited because it’ll be a challenge and a new experience to go through. I’m nervous because it’ll be a huge step forward into my life, kind of like I’m beginning to get ready for real life and mature from being a teenager.
