Goals Journal Entry

My main goal this trimester was to find ways to get myself more involved at Abriendo Mentes. I talked to my mentor Rachael and we planned that once their classes start again on February 10th, we could work out a schedule where I get to be more involved in their classes. I am super excited about this and can't wait to go back. Since they asked me to make a video for their page, I have been working on planning out the layout of my video and how I will make it perfect. This includes all of the interviews, who will be in the videos, and the overall message that I want to deliver. The image below includes a little bit of a part of the storyboard that I have been working on. It includes a detailed description of every shot and a general layout of the color scheme. This will help me to stay organized and make sure my video goes exactly as I want it. The learning outcome I chose was: Demonstrate the skills and recognize the benefits of working collaboratively. I chose this one because I needed to collaborate with my mentor in order to figure out how I was going to achieve my goals and this was very helpful for me. I am also going to need to collaborate with everyone at Abriendo Mentes in the process of making the video which will help me develop communication and interaction abilities.
