The motivation that a student or employee have, depend a lot on what their superiors think about what they do, if they are told they do a good job they will be more motivated to do things, but you can’t just lie to them and say they are doing a good job when they aren’t because if you tell them they are doing a good job and then they don’t do something good they may lose that motivation.
this week I gained more ability to focus by practicing meditation, this can help me do my work better so that I can get recognized and feel more motivated.
Summative feedback I feel like they are just saying wether your whole project was good or bad at the end, so you are already done and cant change things. formative is better because they tell what is wrong in the process so you can change that and get better results at the end.
I personally prefer positive feedback because it makes me feel better, but I always understand when they give me negative feedback because it is like a step for improvement.
I think I would prefer formative this way if I am doing something wrong in the process I can change it before the product is done.
it is really hard to give negative feedback because you don’t want to make there feel bad, but an effective way of delivering would be positive negative positive, you give positive feedback, so they feel good, then you give negative feedback, so they still have positivity from before and then you give positive feedback again so that they don’t think about the negative all day.
