Writing prompts:
When there were obstacles in my way, how did I overcome them?
I encountered many obstacles while trying to complete my project, with the first ideas I had with trying to get kids learning online in a separate group with a supervisor, the school I was targeting wouldn’t answer after a while so I didn’t know if they were interested or not. This forced me to try and think of a new idea, and the motivational speaker idea was created while the other projects are on hold. With the motivational speakers, Covid-19 was the largest obstacle and it interfered with the way I wanted to execute the presentation, this forced me to think of a new idea and I have gone more for an online approach.
How did overcoming those challenges makes me feel?
Knowing earlier in the year that I had to change my project wasn’t the best feeling. It felt like I couldn’t get things done and it made me feel bad about how I was executing my projects. I’ve learned it’s best to try and persevere with whatever you have the resources with, overcoming the Covid-19 problem made me feel good since there was still an option to where I could do what my project entailed.
When I choose to procrastinate, how did that make me feel?
Procrastination makes me feel the worse. I procrastinated a lot at the beginning of the year when we were online especially since my project wasn’t really an online one. This made it harder to stay motivated and work on what I needed to work on. Often it would make me feel worried and stressed about what would happen next. Then when I would think of CAS I would feel guilt since I wasn’t working on it instead I procrastinated.
