Journal Entry Prompts Learning Outcomes

Did everyone agree with my project? If not, how did I justify my approach?
Throughout the course of our projects, we have come up with multiple ideas in which we had many people that agreed with our project. We have created a project that everyone so far has agreed upon and has made everyone think that it is a good idea to take this plan into action. For our Boston Trip idea, we were able to get everyone to agree on it with hopes that the pandemic would come to an end but it didn’t so that when we had some individuals that didn’t agree because it was very difficult for it to be completed. In contrast to the new project, we have good agreements due to the easy acceptance of getting to compete and into action.

Did my project, in any way, show favoritism or discrimination? Did it treat everyone in the same way and if so, how did I make sure that it did?
In our project, we have had some favorites involved. In our Boston project, we had to select only two students from the Villareal school. which involves some favorites from our part but then we decided that it would be better to connect it with their academic grades which would reward these students for working hard and having good grades. We also made sure to select a student from each gender to make it a little fairer. In our new project of helping the families, we had some favoritism on the families that obtain some more help than others this is due to the amount of help that each family really needs because one of our families doesn’t need as much help as the other that barely have a stable home to live in.

Did my project promote the development of my character within myself or my community?
Through the course of this whole CAS process, these projects have created a creative impact of character growth throughout myself and my community. The projects have exposed my students’ image throughout the whole community so they are able to learn about our project and to get to know me better. I have developed better teaching and communication with my community in Brasilito because of the impact we are creating through our help. As well, I have got to develop my character by being more interactive with my community. In my La Paz community, I have been able to grow with the character through my 12 years of attending there. This community has seen me grow as a student and now they are able to know me better through my project.
