Throughout my project, someone who has really helped me succeed this year is Geneva. Geneva has been voluntarily working on this project for 2 years now and has put in so much effort to help these women with no reward. She organized the first campaign I went to in October and really supported the project, while others were unable.
When Jimena and I started the project, Geneva helped explain what she does, what the project consists of and has helped us ever since. Even now, when we are unable to have a campaign in May, Geneva is helping with raising money to continue this project to make sure we can have a campaign in October.
When it comes to the yearbook, Ms. Kerry has really been helping Jimena and I. Before this year, I had never been in the yearbook club so it has been a whole new experience to be in charge, but Ms. Kerry has been there to help us and get us started. Jimena and I are starting to fill in the first pages now, which we would have never been able to do without the help of Ms. Kerry explaining what they have done in previous years and what needs to be done to complete the yearbook.
