Human Resources Reflection

This is the second week of working on this project and I think I’ve realized how stressful Human Resource Management can be. Firstly, communicating with my mentors has been very difficult considering all of them are adults who have to work a lot and some don’t have the time to answer ten questions. Out of all of my three mentors, only one was able to respond to my questions, on Friday (the day it was due). I had emailed them beforehand on Monday, presenting myself asking for their contact information, and I was pretty much left on seen. Nonetheless, I believe that interview that I ended up having was relatively successful because now I know how the lessons are in that class, as well as, the ways in which it is separated. After my interview, I was reflecting and came to the conclusion that it would be very effective if I did some On-the-job training and behavioral training. This is due because Miss Claudia wants me to see how her class works and see the ways in which I can help her and her students, and give me feedback on how to approach them. In addition, the behavioral training would be so I can feel prepared to tackle the project of helping 8th graders since many I need to have patience and tolerance for.

Furthermore, this week definitely took a toll on my emotional self since there was an issue with communication within our class. This form of miscommunication influenced my work ethic since I wasn’t feeling very motivated to keep working with my project and therefore I was procrastinating everything to the last minute, hence why I’m turning this assignment in on Sunday. This made me think a lot and it made me realize how the class of 11th grade as a whole needs some improving communication activities as well as teamwork activities in order to strengthen our bond as a class and as a community.
