CAS Journal Entry #41

Human Resources Reflection

This week for my project has been relatively organized, I have established an official time for communicating with my mentor, Miss Claudia, which is Thursdays at 2 pm. I want to improve communication with her, as well as start designing a class she might be able to teach based on the research that I’ve been doing on online learning. I want to focus right now on training Miss Claudia on dealing with Gen Z’ers and maybe helping her improve her classes based on the research I have been doing on my audience and overall online learning. I also want to implement the theories of motivation we’ve seen in Business. For example, make an experiment on the 8th-grade class to see if they prefer internal or external rewards. In addition, I’ve agreed on attending one of her Zoom classes possibly after the Bachi tests are done since those are taking too much of my time right now. This way, I’m able to see what needs improvement in the online class and see if I’m able to understand even more the audience I’m going to be helping.

This project has been a journey that has shaped me as a reflective and thinking person. By reading and comprehending all these sorts of motivational theories, I’ve been reflecting on how a few of these might’ve been very helpful for me when I was young in order to motivate me, even more, to excel academically. I also believe that being able to create a project and a class out of certain things we’ve been learning in the class will help me be a lifelong learner since I’m able to apply what I’ve learned on a real-life issue or situation. I believe this is important for students to do since it improves their memory performance and helps them become better communicators and analytical thinkers, which will be beneficial for college and work life.
