May 30th 2020 – Julie Week #5 Reflection

This week I did some research and communicated with Ms. Cat about a new task. I first did research on all of the apps and platforms that Ms. Cat was looking at and I gave her some feedback on what I thought about each one. I just downloaded all of them and tried them out with just random videos I had to see what each one could do. Ms. Cat said that this week she will send me some of the videos she has already made so I can look at them and suggest which platform I think would be best and suggest what she should do with the videos.

Ms. Cat also thought of a new task that she thought I could do. Every week she posts a google slide on Families of La Paz with all the little kids artwork (K-5th) and an explanation about what they had to do. Ms. Cat said that I could take over that job and make the google slide each week and add all of the kids art works with their names and just leave a space for her to write a description of the projects. She already sent me the pictures of art from this week and I am making the first one this weekend before she has to post it on Tuesday.

Overall, this week I feel like was very successful because Ms. Cat and I got to move forward with the video editing and also discuss about how she shows the little kids art to the community. This week made e feel more confident in my project because now while I wait for Ms. Cat to send me her videos to edit I can also be working on the google slide as well.

Learning outcomes:

Demonstrate the skills and recognize the benefits of working collaboratively: this week I spent a lot of time talking to Ms. Cat and figuring out our futures steps and it made me realize how much this project is actually helping her save time and be more effective during online school.
