This week I was able to better understand the project and what I will be doing to help Ms. Cat. After our interview it was very clear what I am going to be doing and what Ms. Cat needs help with. During our interview Ms. Cat was just saying she needs help with technology and figuring out ways to engage her students and make sure they are getting their work done. Some specific things I will be helping her with are using the platforms screencastify and shotcut where I will be helping her edit her videos and make them more engaging and satisfying to look at. We also will probably be communicating mostly over Whatsapp where we can discuss what she wants in her videos and what more she needs help with.
Throughout this week I have also learned that I need to work on my time management skills because we did have a lot of work this week when combining all the classes and if I didn’t procrastinate I could have gotten much more done before it started stacking up. I also think this week was a lesson for us to make sure that if we are going to complain about something to make sure we find the root cause of the problem and thinking of some solutions to the problem before just sending something out.
Learning outcomes:
Recognize and consider the ethics of choices and actions: This week our whole class was able to consider the ethics of our actions and make sure to consider what we are doing by making certain decisions.
Demonstrate the skills and recognize the benefits of working collaboratively: This week I recognized the benefits of working collaboratively because with working with Ms. Cat I know I will be a lot of help to her and help make her class more effective.
