Scavenger Hunt 2020 _ Grace Herman

January 26th, 2020 Yesterday we, Terraza, hosted a scavenger hunt. We haven't had a scavenger hunt since June of 2019 so people were very excited. We had around 30 teens show up excited to run around town. It was refreshing to see people excited about a Terraza event. Our team has been struggling to keep spirits up and continue to try to grow Terraza and this event gave us a little jolt of much need motivation. This is an area I need to work on. I need to remember that CAS project need to be growing constantly. It's a business in a business you have to constantly be looking for new ways to grow, new products and new markets and we at Terraza haven't been doing this and so we haven't been accomplishing our mission. I need to remember to focus on growth. The Scavenger Hunt last year was the first event that I worked on as apart of the Terraza team around 8 months ago. It's weird to compare the two and reflect on what has changed. The thing is after the last Scavenger Hunt I was super inspired and thought that the youth center was always going to be full of that energy but it wasn't. The scavenger hunt this time was a similar level of energy and success but now I think it reflects how little has changed. We've held events again and again but we haven't gone out of our comfort zones and this shows it. I'm not saying nothing has happened we've head event after event but we haven't made the right moves to grow Terraza. I need to make a fishbone diagram to figure out what the root causes are because if this project continues we have to fix that. Our whole team needs to be on board with that cause I can't do it alone, Cata can't do it alone and Ashley can't do it alone. It's important to work as a team but it hasn't been working as effectively as it could so far. To make a long story short, the scavenger hunt was successful, I need to focus on the concept of growth, Terraza needs to change, and we need to do it as a team.
