The day finally arrived. The one which me and Cata had been working hard to achieve. All the teachers were congratulating us afterwards and it felt satusy after all the hard planning. Throughout this experience, I learned how to effectively communicate with my partner (still in process), how to plan an initiate an event, how to reach teachers, members of the community in a professional way, etc… It was challenging working with an orange color person. She had different ideas than I did, and when I wanted to collaborate with ideas she automatically said no. In the process of planning the event, we had MANY obstacles since she wanted to have control over every aspect of the project, but it was mine too and it didn't felt that way. We had many comprehension meetings with our teachers and peers. On this journey, the people who helped us were teachers, parents and the S.S.S committee. And we kept them motivated by weekly meetings. The experience improved my skills on how to communicate with someone in an effective way by meeting every monday. In the future, I´ll have practice on how to plan a social event. The connection with the learner profile is that throughout the process I enrolled in being a risk taker, communicator, principled, thinker and caring.
