Right now, I´m in the process of meeting with Jimena and Genesis each week to discuss what needs to be improved academically. However, I feel really sad Día de las Mascaradas didn´t took place this year. :(
Anyways, working with Jimena and Genesis has fulfilled myself. With Jime, I see independence now; she knows what to do if a topic is confusing, her self.confidence has improved positively, she's been enrolling in class very well, etc… And Genesis´s progress will show slowly or not. (all depends on time) I´m proud about Jime´s enrollment this trimester. Because she shows confidence in herself/english.
Few weeks ago, I made a vocab document for Jmena for her literature english class. With Genesis I´m still deciding, due to the fact that I´m just starting with her tomorrow, Tuesday. But I plan on reading each lesson and asking comprehension questions.
On the other hand, yes, I feel I'm painting a timeline. Because my desire to help never stops and I'm constantly helping students. And also, we have weekly meetings on Tuesdays. The best thing about my project is the experience and practice I ́ lll gain for the future. This specific project in S.S.S is crucial for my future since I'm planning to take a major in english teacher. It would definitely help and guide my future thinking.
