Stacy – Journal Entry Creativity, Service (BREAK)

Along my break, I decided to help my 9 year old little cousin with math and to better her reading comprehension. Her name is Sofia, we go to the same school. Along this amazing journey, I engraved to have tolerance, commitment and teamwork with my cousin. Therefore, the most important part was to never give up when being close to achieving your goal. The experience was meaningful. Each time she understood an aspect about fractions that I explained, it felt very good because I knew I was contributing to her learning and understanding. Also, it felt valuable when accomplishing something in her life. By this experience I grew as a person teaching my relatives a new aspect. Communicators in the best attribute that represents myself in this journey. Because I had to communicate all my ideas using my creativity in order for her to understand math.
