Sea Mercy Amatasi Project: Vanuatu Vessel

Team: Vanuatu Vessel, Tonga

To empower local communities to be self-sufficient in a sustainable manner and to support, educate and train local South Pacific populations in the lost art of transport using the wind. Sea Mercy’s Amatasi project links community groups around the world with the remote communities of the South Pacific. Community groups such as associations, businesses, schools or local charities assist in building a simple catamaran, the Amatasi 27, designed by award winning catamaran designer James Wharram.
